July 2011 update:

We are currently hiring Remote Paramedics (WEMT-P, MPIC) for international treks and expeditions, Lead Rock Climbing Guides in the Southwestern US (Arizona) and Lead and Assistant Rock Climbing Guides in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US (MD, VA and DC), call our office for details.

September 2011 update:

We are currently hiring Lead and Assistant Rock Climbing Guides in North Carolina, call our office for details.

 

Lead Backpacking Guide Requirements:

  • CPR/AED certification
  • First-Aid certification-WFA or higher
  • Leave No Trace Trainer certification
  • PHGA Level I certification
  • 5 years of backpacking experience
  • At least 1 year of guiding experience working under a licensed/certified guiding agency or company in the Northeast region of the United States
  • Reliable transportation

Lead Rock Climbing Guide Requirements:

Top Rope Guide

  • PCGI TRG or equivalent
  • First-Aid certification-WFA or higher
  • CPR/AED certification
  • 5 years of rock climbing experience
  • At least 2 years of guiding experience working under a licensed/certified guiding agency or company in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation

 Single or Multi-Pitch Guide (these are minimums)

  • PCGI SPG or equivalent
  • First-Aid certification-WFR or higher. WEMT-B is preferred
  • Professional Level CPR/AED certification
  • 5 years of rock climbing experience in the Northeast region or equivalent of the United States. Regional knowledge is required due to poor route rating in some areas in the Western region of the United States.
  • At least 2 years of guiding experience working under a licensed/certified guiding agency or company in the Northeast region of the United States.
  • Reliable transportation

Lead Kayaking and Paddling Guide Requirements:

  • ACA licensed or equivalent
  • CPR/AED certification
  • First-Aid certification-WFA or higher
  • At least 1 year of guiding experience working under a licensed/certified guiding agency or company in the Northeast region of the United States
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
  • Reliable transportation

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

If you are certified as a Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness EMT you MUST be certified in the state you wish to work. Not every state is on the National Registry so you can not treat patients unless you hold a certification in that particular state.
