Intro to Rock Climbing
Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing with professional guides! This is our most popular course and participants always come back for more!
This course is run all over the world in various locations. If you have a park in mind give us a call and we'll find out how to run one in your area!
Course length: 5-7 hours, depending on group size

*Shawangunks courses are taught by Paul Curran, PCGI certified Multi-Pitch Guide, who is authorized and has been guiding in the Gunks for 20 years.
*New River Gorge trips and courses are taught by David Wolff, PCGI certifed Lead Guide who is authorized to guide in the New River Gorge.
Course description: The day starts on the ground discussing basic climbing gear, movement on the rock/climbing techniques, balance and body positioning. The 2nd part of the day you'll be climbing on cliffs of various heights and rock types putting together what you learned. Then we move on to belaying, gear overview, rappelling, safety, climbing knots and hitches and much more!

Intermediate Rock Climbing
This course is the next step in becoming a solid and efficient rock climber! If you've taken our Intro to Rock course or have been climbing in your local gym and want to further develop your skills then this course is your next step.
Course length: 2 days
Location: Allamuchy State Park, NJ; Delaware Water Gap NRA, PA and NJ; Chatfield Hollow State Park, CT; McDowell Mountains, AZ; Oak Creek Canyon, AZ; Chickies Rock State Park, PA; Ragged Mountain, CT; Adirondack State Park, NY; Dear Leap, VT; Rose Ledges, MA; Crowders Mountain State Park, NC; New River Gorge, WV; Indonesia; El Potrero Chico, Mexico; Costa Blanca, Spain
Prerequisite: Intro to Rock Climbing or equivalent

Course description:
Day 1: We start by going over more advanced techniques while moving on the rock, anchor types, rock climbing anchor placement and how they work, physics, belaying, multi-pitch techniques, anchor rigging and much more!
Day 2: You'll put everything you learned into play on the rock face while climbing in a single-pitch and multi-pitch (mock) environment.

Top-Rope Anchors Course
Do you want to introduce some family or friends to rock climbing in the outdoors? This is the perfect course to ensure safety and confidence in doing so. This course covers both base and top managed top-roping set-ups.
Course length: 6-7 hours
Location: Delaware Water Gap NRA, PA and NJ; Allamuchy State Park, NJ; Chatfield Hollow State Park, CT; Crowders Mountain State Park, NC; Great Falls, DC
Prerequisite: Prior climbing experience following a lead climber

Course description: Anchor overview, proper anchor placement and construction, setting up a top-roping system using natural features, safety systems, and much more!

Lead Anchors Clinic
Do you want to learn how to lead Trad? This is the course for you!
Course length: 1 and 2 day courses available
Location: Delaware Water Gap NRA, PA; Allamuchy State Park, NJ; Adirondack State Park, NY; Ragged Mountain, CT; McDowell Mountains, AZ; Oak Creek Canyon, AZ; Crowders Mountain State Park, NC; Costa Blanca, Spain
Prerequisite: Following at a 5.8 - 5.10 level

Course description: Anchor and gear overview, proper anchor placement, using natural features for protection, racking techniques, rope management on multi-pitch climbs, mock-leads, self-rescue techniques, route selection, advanced knots and hitches, multi-pitch rappelling, sport climbing physics, and much more!

Rock Rescue Course
Improvised scenarios on high angle rock faces. Learn how to establish safe rescue techniques. Great course and a must need for lead climbers!
Course length: 1 and 2 day courses available

Prerequisite: Prior climbing experience

Cost: $175 USD per person
Course description: Improvised scenarios to teach climbers how to safely and efficiently take control of a dangerous situation on a high angle rock face. Pulley systems, rescue knots, and much more!
